Punjab Police on June 15 revealed that they foiled a targeted killing plot orchestrated by Canada-based terrorist Arshdeep Singh Gill alias Arsh Dala, arresting two key operatives, identified as Kawaljit Singh alias Kaka and Navdeep Singh alias Honey and seizing a Turkish-made Zigana .30-bore pistol and nine live cartridges in Dharamkot, Moga district. Officials stated that the accused had been coordinating directly with Arsh Dala and had received arms, target details, and advance payment for the operation.

Authorities stated that both properties were illegally constructed using proceeds from drug trafficking.

According to police, Amritsar-based social media influencer Deepika Luthra received a death threat via email, allegedly sent in the name of the banned terrorist group Babbar Khalsa International (BKI), in Amritsar district, Punjab. The message also mentioned another influencer, Preet Jatti, and warned Luthra against leaving her home due to her 'objectionable' content. Police have provided security to Luthra and her family while verifying the authenticity of the email.

Amritsar (City) Police on June 15 booked Amritpal Singh Mehron, a key conspirator in the murder of Ludhiana-based influencer Kanchan Kumari alias Kamal Kaur Bhabhi, for allegedly threatening Amritsar-based content creator Deepika Luthra, in Amritsar. The case, filed by the cybercrime cell, stems from Mehron’s video warning to Luthra and others to stop posting 'double meaning' content online, threatening violent consequences if they failed to comply. Luthra, who has sought police protection, stated that she had already removed the contested videos and was unsure why she continued to be targeted.
