Weapons
supplied by Khalistan Liberation Force (KLF) key supplier Javed, who was
recently arrested by the Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorism Squad (UP-ATS) and
brought to Mohali, were also used in the killings of Rashtriya Swayamsevak
Sangh (RSS) leaders in Punjab, including Brig Jagdish Kumar Gagneja (retired)
in 2016.
“The arms supplied by Javed were used in the killings of eight RSS leaders in Punjab, besides Gagneja,” a source told TOI. Javed was on produced in a local court, which granted the State Special Operation Cell of Punjab Police his custody for further investigations, on Thursday. He will remain in police remand till June 16.
The Mohali SSOC had booked Javed on February 5, along with Dharminder Singh alias Guggni, who is a member of banned KLF and allegedly involved in Gagneja’s murder, Ashish Kumar, Munshi, Parveen, Sushil and some other accomplices under various sections of Arms Act, IPC and Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act among others.
