Battered in Punjab, Delhi, SFJ’s eyes on Jammu and Kashmir banned for referendum 2020
The banned Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) group has been known to be making inroads in Jammu and Kashmir. Intelligence reports have revealed that the organization has recently asked Sikhs living in the Valley to support its online ‘Referendum 2020’ which is about separating Punjab from India. The SFJ’s next target is Jammu and Kashmir after unsuccessful attempts to get support for ‘Referendum 2020’ voter registration in Punjab and Delhi, where it plans to launch voter registration for illegal campaign on 26 July.
SFJ works at the behest of ISISikh communities across India have rejected the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) sponsored campaign of ‘Referendum 2020’. The Pakistani intelligence agency ISI is supporting the malicious campaign launched by the SFJ as a large number of Pakistani Twitter handles have started tweeting in favor of the so-called ‘referendum’. Describing Sikhs as ‘freedom fighters and Sikh soldiers’ in Kashmir, the US-based Khalistani fundamentalist organization has urged to support its most dangerous agenda ‘Referendum 2020’.
Now emphasis on referendum in Jammu and Kashmir
Intelligence reports suggest that the separatist group has called on Kashmiris in the Valley to support Voter registration in Jammu and Kashmir on 26 July. It seeks to gain the support of an estimated three lakh Sikh population living in Jammu and Kashmir. Pro-Khalistan supporters are hurting Kashmiris
Pannu is among nine Khalistan supporters who were declared as terrorists by the Indian government earlier this month. Pannu, a US-based terrorist, is playing a major role in the ‘Referendum 2020’ campaign. The group claims that independent Khalistan will pave the way for independence of Kashmir.
