The Border Security Force (BSF), in a joint operation with Punjab Police on December 28 recovered 534 grams of heroin from fields near Palpate village in Tarn Taran district.
Police, on December 27, arrested one individual identified as Lakhwinder Singh alias Lakhi Kabutranwala, and seized 170 intoxicating pills from his possession in Abohar in Fazilka district.
Police on December 27 arrested one individual, identified as Bohad Singh and seized 5 grams of heroin, 300 sedative tablets, and INR 6,800 in cash from his possession, in Abohar in Fazilka district.
Ferozepur Police on December 26 arrested three drug smugglers, identified as Parmjeet Singh alias Pamma, Manish alias Saleem and Sukhwinder Singh alias Sukhha, and seized 400 grams of heroin, three illegal country-made pistols, seven cartridges, and two motorcycles from their possession, in Ferozepur in Ferozepur district.
Chheharta police on December 25 arrested a drug peddler, Aniket Verma, and seized 192 grams of heroin, INR 10,150 in drug money, and a computer scale from his possession in Chheharta, Amritsar district.
The police on December 24 arrested four members of the Landa Harikey gang, identified as Kuldeep Singh alias Ladu, Yadwinder Singh alias Yada, Prabhdeep Singh alias Judge and Pawandeep Singh after a brief encounter, and seized one .32-bore pistol and live cartridges from their possession, in Johal Dhai village in Tarn Taran district. Investigations revealed that the seized weapon belonged to Pawandeep Singh, a serving Punjab Police officer, who had mortgaged it for drugs.
The Border Security Force (BSF), in a joint operation with the Punjab Police, on December 24, recovered a packet of heroin weighing 460 grams from fields near Bachiwind village in Ajnala, Amritsar district.
Punjab Police on December 22 busted a trans-border narco-smuggling module with the arrest of Sukhdev Singh and Avtar Singh in Mullechak village, Amritsar district. The operation led to the seizure of 10 kg of heroin and a Toyota Etios car. The duo, linked to Pakistan-based smugglers, had been retrieving heroin consignments via drones after their release from jail.
The Border Security Force (BSF), in a joint operation with Punjab Police, on December 22, recovered two packets of heroin weighing 558 grams and 613 grams, respectively, along with two DJI AIR 3S drones, from fields near Dal village in Patti, Tarn Taran district.

Mohali police on December 20 arrested five individuals, Jasdeep Singh, Manjit Singh, Pankaj, Aman Kumar, and Shiv Kumar and seized 30 grams of heroin, two pistols, three magazines, and 35 live rounds from their possession in Kharar, Sahibzada Ajit Singh (SAS) Nagar district.

The Abohar police on December 15 arrested two individuals, identified as Amarjeet Singh and Raj Singh and seized 435 grams of heroin from their possession, near Dhani Kadaka Singh village in Abohar in Fazilka district.
Mahorana Police on December 15 arrested a Nigerian national, identified as Godwin Samuel and seized 505 grams of heroin from his possession, at a naka (checkpoint) near Mahorana village in Malerkotla in Sangrur district. Samuel was residing in New Delhi under the guise of a student, and Police revealed his involvement in a similar case earlier in Roop Nagar district in Punjab.
Police on December 9 busted an inter-state drug-smuggling module and arrested Dharm Singh and Om Prakash Verma, and seized 4 kg of opium from their possession, near Handesra, in Sahibzada Ajit Singh (SAS) Nagar district.

Jalandhar Rural Police on December 7 arrested eight individuals, identified as Kushal, Jatinder Singh, Hina, Jaspinder Singh, Surinder Singh, Jagjivan Lal, Suraj, and his wife Simran and seized 504 narcotic pills, 47 grams of opium, INR 1,500 in drug money, three motorcycles, and one luxury car from their possession in Phillaur, Jalandhar district.

Their accomplices, Harpal Singh alias Bhala and Gursewak Singh alias Sewak, managed to flee.
