On August 18, Punjab Police, on day 170 of its “Yudh Nashian Virudh” campaign, registered 164 first information reports (FIRs), arrested 196 drug smugglers and seized 2.4 kg of heroin, 2 kg of opium, 30 kg of ganja, 13,451 intoxicating tablets/capsules and INR 15,020 drug money from the possession of arrested drug smugglers, across Punjab.
Border Security Force (BSF) troops on August 18 intercepted and arrested an unidentified smuggler, along with 560 grams of heroin, a motorcycle, and two mobile phones, near Bachiwind village in Ajnala, Amritsar district.
On August 17, Punjab Police, on day 169 of its “Yudh Nashian Virudh” campaign, registered 42 first information reports (FIRs), arrested 57 drug smugglers and seized 461 grams of heroin, 415 intoxicant tablets/capsules and INR 31,550 from the possession of arrested drug smugglers, across Punjab. With this, the number of total drug smugglers arrested has reached 26,023.
Ludhiana police on August 17 arrested a gangster, identified as Mukkal Mattu and seized 1.05 kg of heroin along with three pistols, 21 cartridges from his possession, near Sacred Heart Convent School in Ludhiana in Ludhiana district.
On August 16, Punjab Police, on day 168 of its “Yudh Nashian Virudh” campaign, registered 28 first information reports (FIRs), arrested 38 drug smugglers and seized 620 grams of heroin and 1,612 intoxicating tablets and capsules from the possession of arrested drug smugglers, across Punjab. With this, the number of total drug smugglers arrested has reached 25,909.
Border Security Force (BSF) troops, in a joint operation with Punjab Police, on August 13, recovered a packet of heroin weighing 600 grams and a drone from fields near Wan village in Tarn Taran district. The seized drone was identified as a DJI Air 3S model.
Punjab Police on August 13 busted a narcotics and arms smuggling network by arresting five individuals identified as Vinay Kumar, Major Singh, Kulwinder Singh, Gurpreet Singh, and Gagandeep Singh, and seizing 1.50 kg of heroin and seven .32-bore pistols from their possession in Jalandhar district.

On August 11, Punjab Police, on day 163 of its “Yudh Nashian Virudh” campaign, registered 74 first information reports (FIRs), arrested 104 drug smugglers and seized 6.4 kg of heroin, 500 grams of opium, and 1092 intoxicant tablets/capsules from the possession of arrested drug smugglers, across Punjab.
Border Security Forces (BSF) troops on August 11 recovered a packet of heroin weighing 581 grams from fields near Wan village in Tarn Taran district.
On August 10, Punjab Police, on day 162 of its “Yudh Nashian Virudh" campaign, registered 50 first information reports (FIRs), arrested 68 drug smugglers and seized 1.4 kg of heroin and 1594 intoxicant tablets/capsules from the possession of arrested drug smugglers, across Punjab.
The Border Security Force (BSF) troops on August 9 recovered a packet of heroin weighing 655 grams from fields near Nihalewala village in Ferozepur district.
On August 8, Punjab Police, on day 160 of its “Yudh Nashian Virudh” campaign registered 59 first information reports (FIRs), arrested 96 drug smugglers and seized 1.2 kilograms of heroin, 1.1 kilograms of opium, 12,627 intoxicant pills, and INR 2.3 lakh in drug-related cash from the possession of the smugglers across Punjab.
Jalandhar Police on August 7 conducted targeted operations at multiple locations across Jalandhar city, and arrested 16 individuals, seized 46 grams of heroin, 61 intoxicant tablets and 36,000 ml of illegal liquor along with one car and one motorcycle in Jalandhar in Jalandhar district.
Jalandhar Police on August 6 arrested two Punjab police constables, identified as Navpreet Singh and Navdeep Singh and seized 15 grams of heroin from their possession, near Rama Mandi area in Jalandhar in Jalandhar district. Both were posted at the Punjab Armed Police (PAP) headquarters and were arrested following leads from the arrest of two drug peddlers.
On August 5, Punjab Police, on day 157 of its “Yudh Nashian Virudh” campaign, registered 89 first information reports (FIRs), arrested 109 drug smugglers, and seized 1.5 kg of heroin, 1.1 kg of opium, 35 quintals of poppy husk and INR 44,910 drug money from the possession of arrested drug smugglers, across Punjab.
On August 4, Punjab Police, on day 156 of its “Yudh Nashian Virudh” campaign, registered 63 first information reports (FIRs), arrested 87 drug smugglers and seized 967 grams of heroin, 267 kg of poppy husk and 1869 intoxicant tablets/capsules from the possession of arrested drug smugglers, across Punjab. With this, the number of total drug smugglers arrested has reached to 24,592 in 156 days.

On August 3, Punjab Police, on day 155 of its ‘Yudh Nashian Virudh’ campaign, registered 75 first information reports (FIRs), arrested 116 drug smugglers and seized 1.7 kg of heroin, 1 kg of opium, 298 kg of poppy husk, 37,085 intoxicant tablets/capsules and INR 11.88 lakh drug money from the possession of arrested drug smugglers, across Punjab.
On August 2, Punjab Police, on day 154 of its ‘Yudh Nashian Virudh’ campaign, registered 80 first information reports (FIRs), arrested 107 drug smugglers and seized 13.9 kg of heroin, 500 grams of opium, and INR 34,820 in drug money from the possession of arrested drug smugglers, across Punjab.
Police on August 2 arrested two drug smugglers, identified as Gurpreet Singh alias Gori, and Gurpreet Singh alias Kali, and seized 8.3 kg of heroin from their possession, in Madhre village in Ferozepur district.
Police on August 2 arrested one drug smuggler, identified as Jograj Singh alias Samar and seized 4.7 kg of heroin along with disassembled parts of a pistol and eight cartridges from his possession, near Mohkam Khewala village in Ferozepur district.
On August 1, Punjab Police on day 153 of its ‘Yudh Nashian Virudh’ campaign registered 65 first information reports (FIRs), arrested 92 drug smugglers and seized 1.7 kg of heroin, 2 kg of ganja, 404 kg of poppy husk, 4865 intoxicant pills and INR 2490 drug money from their possession, across Punjab.
