A bomb explosion was carried out by Khalistani terrorists on December 19, 1991, at Bharat Nagar Chowk in Ludhiana, outside of Nirankari Bhawan. The explosion caused the deaths of 11 individuals, including a police constable who was injured and later died, as well as injuring 25 others. The incident occurred around 1.50 pm inside a Maruti car parked in the vicinity of Nirankari Bhawan. Following the attack, a First Information Report (FIR) was filed by the police.
