Gurpreet Singh

Gurpreet Singh originally from Moga district in Punjab and current resident of Surrey in Canada is a Khalistani separatist with affiliation with ISYF and KLF. He is a known associate of Gurjit Singh Cheema. He is reported to have visited India in 2016 to attend a religious program at Dagru village in Moga District. During this visit he recruited another individual identified as Gurpreet Singh alias Preet to Khalistani separatist cause by offering financial support. 

Moreover, between June 2016 and February 2017 he had arranged more than INR 100,000 for the militant modules to execute terror attacks in India. Currently he is reportedly the handler and recruiter for new militant modules in Canada. He was listed as one of the most wanted terrorists in a list given to Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau when he visited India in 2018, by Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh. A Red Corner Notice is also issued against Gurpreet Singh by Interpol in October 2019. 

He is listed under several criminal and terrorist activities in Interpol such as fund raising for terrorist acts and conspiracy, harboring terrorists, being a member of terrorist organization, Arms act, for causing explosion to endanger life or property, for attempt to cause explosion, for making or keeping explosive with intent to endanger life or property, for making or possessing explosives under suspicious circumstances.
