Videos on social media showed the procession—where some participants appeared to be holding Khalistani flags—being confronted by protesters linked to Destiny Church leader Brian Tamaki. Police separated the two groups, and no direct clash was reported. Tamaki later claimed on social media that Khalistan flags were being displayed during the parade, describing them as linked to terrorism and questioning their presence on Auckland streets. In multiple posts on X, he wrote, “This is our land. This is our stand,” and said his supporters had “stood their ground” in South Auckland.

A social media post by gangster Rohit Godara claimed responsibility for the killing of Jora Sidhu alias Sippa, an aide of rival gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE). The post alleged that Sidhu was killed by having his throat slit, and justified the attack by claiming Sidhu had sent men to Germany to target Godara’s associate and had been issuing threats from Dubai in Bishnoi’s name to people in Canada and the United States. The message, purportedly posted in Godara’s name, also mentioned Goldy Brar, Virendra Charan, Mahendra Saran Delana, and Vicky Pehlwan Kotkapura as part of the group claiming responsibility. However, there has been no official confirmation from Dubai Police regarding the alleged killing.

Sources indicate that Khalistani terrorist Kashmir Singh, who escaped from Nabha jail in 2016, is believed to be hiding in Nepal under a different identity. Singh, accused in the 2015 attack on Shiv Sena leader Harvinder Soni, was reportedly influenced by Khalistan Liberation Force (KLF) chief Harminder Singh Mintoo. He is also alleged to have provided shelter and funds to those responsible for the 2022 RPG attack on the Punjab police intelligence headquarters. Singh is linked to Pakistan-based terrorist Harvinder Singh Rinda and Canada-based Lakhbir Singh Sandhu alias Landa.
