Mann called upon the Sikh community to commemorate the death anniversary of Sukha and Jinda on October 9 by reciting "Chaupai," "Dehshiva Var MoheIh," and offering prayers before Guru Granth Sahib. He emphasized that Sukha and Jinda had made the ultimate sacrifice for the establishment of an independent sovereign Sikh state.

SAD (Amritsar) decided to mark Independence Day, August 15, as a Black Day in order to express their protest against the perceived denial of rights to the people of Punjab, especially the Sikhs. Additionally, they announced their goal of enrolling 20 lakh members into the party.

Rode, the convenor, along with Dhian Singh Mand, ex-MP Darshan Singh Mand, Ajit Singh Bhangoo, members of the presidium committee, and Gurdev Singh, President of Dalit Front Punjab, declared their commitment to continue their peaceful struggle for the attainment of Khalsa Raj. They pledged their allegiance to Baba Thakur Singh, Chief of Damdami Taksal, who will provide guidance and support.

Ajmer Singh Lakhowal, President of BKU (L), held a gathering at Mukandpur in Ludhiana where he proposed conducting a plebiscite among Sikhs to determine the implementation of the Anandpur Sahib resolution and the creation of a sovereign independent Sikh state as a means to address the problems in Punjab.

SS Mann made allegations that various Hindu organizations and political parties were conspiring to eliminate the Sikh community and joining forces to exploit the water resources of Punjab. He further stated that the "Amritsar Declaration" called for the freedom of Sikhs through a confederation with either Hindustan, Pakistan, or any other country.

He was presented with the "Sanman Patra" for his courageous acts of resigning as a diplomat in protest against Operation Blue Star and as Secretary of SGPC due to the irregularities within the organization.

Four unidentified terrorists were killed during a police encounter with a checkpoint team near Thakur Dawara village in Himachal Pradesh. A significant cache of weapons and explosives, including 43 AK-47 rifles, 117 assault magazines with 1520 rounds, 17 detonators, 2 rocket launchers, 50 kg of explosive materials, and a truck with registration number JKR 2325 were recovered from the spot.

Prof. Manjit Singh formed a five-member Supreme Council comprising H.S. Gill, J.S. Ghuman, V.S. Valtoha, G.S. Najowal, and B.S. Khalsa as members. Additionally, an 18-member Central Committee was established to provide representation to all Sikh groups.
