The raided flat belonged to an Ayodhya resident who allegedly provided shelter to Deepak Ranga, a key accused in the blast at the Punjab Police intelligence headquarters in Mohali. Ranga, a Khalistan supporter, was arrested earlier this year and is associated with Canada-based gangster-turned-terrorists Lakhbir Singh Sandhu and Pakistan-based Harvinder Singh Sandhu.

The police investigation revealed his connection with Pakistani smugglers, who used drones to drop heroin in Bharopal village and near Gharinda in Amritsar. The accused had been active in the smuggling business for approximately four years. Further investigation is ongoing to establish his network's links.
