Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Bikram Singh Majithia, in Chandigarh, on December 10 alleged that former militant Narain Singh Chaura, who attempted to assassinate Sukhbir Singh Badal, was accompanied by Khalistan Commando Force (KCF) terrorist Dharam Singh and another unidentified man. Majithia criticized the Amritsar police for "diluting" the First Information Report (FIR) and called for the investigation to be transferred to senior police officials. He also released CCTV footage supporting his claims of multiple attackers.
