According to India’s consulate in Vancouver, consular camps were held on November 16 and 17 at the Khalsa Diwan Society Gurdwara in Abbotsford and the Ross Street Gurdwara in Vancouver, issuing 709 life certificates to pensioners in Canada. These camps proceeded peacefully, unlike those in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), which were cancelled due to threats from the Khalistani terror outfit Sikhs For Justice (SFJ).

The Amritsar police on November 15 dismantled a trans-border narco-smuggling and arms cartel with the arrest of three individuals, Aditya Pratap alias Kaka, Shambhu Kabir and Muskan along with 8 kg of heroin, 6 kg of opium, 13.1 kg of chemicals used to enhance the quantity of contraband, and four pistols along with 17 cartridges from their possession at Kot Khalsa in Amritsar district. Aditya was arrested at Prem Nagar Road in Amritsar with two pistols and 13 live cartridges, leading to the recovery of 8 kg of heroin, 2 kg of chemicals, 6 kg of opium, and a Glock pistol. Shambhu was arrested at Guru Ki Wadali Road in Amritsar with 275 grams of heroin, 11.1 kg of chemicals, and a .32 bore pistol. Muskan was identified as the daughter of absconding racket kingpin Sunny.

On November 15, during the 104th foundation day of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) in Amritsar, SGPC president Harjinder Singh Dhami expressed concern over government attempts to limit SGPC's jurisdiction, citing indirect control over other Sikh gurdwara committees. Dhami urged the Sikh community to unite under the leadership of the Akal Takht to counter anti-panthic forces. He also emphasized the SGPC’s century-long role in managing gurdwaras, promoting Sikhi, and safeguarding Sikh interests.

Dalla, a designated terrorist in India and a close associate of the deceased Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar, is wanted for multiple serious criminal offences.

Punjab Police on November 14 dismantled two criminal gangs, including a UK-based extortion syndicate, with the arrest of 10 individuals, including Harvinder Singh alias Raju, Dalwinder Singh alias Guri, Sarabjit Singh alias Punjab alias Kaka, and Harpreet Singh alias Shera. Police seized two .32-bore pistols with six live rounds, three magazines, and one .315-bore pistol with two live rounds from their possession in Jalandhar, Punjab. Investigations revealed that the extortion syndicate operated from the UK, Greece, and Manila, with key figures orchestrating shootings and extortion activities in Punjab.

Yodha, a member of jailed gangster Harpreet Singh alias Happy Baba's gang, was involved in various criminal activities, including being the shooter in a firing incident at a factory on November 5.

Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) president Harjinder Singh Dhami on November 12 condemned recent incidents in Canada, calling them a conspiracy to defame the Sikh community. He stated that differences of opinion are being falsely portrayed as Sikh attacks on Hindu temples. The SGPC executive committee passed a resolution the same day, asserting that Sikhs respect all faiths and would never target places of worship. Dhami also criticized restrictions on Sikh employees wearing the kirpan at Indian airports and the denial of visas to Sikh pilgrims visiting Nankana Sahib. He announced that SGPC delegations will meet with the Indian government and the Pakistan High Commission to resolve these issues.

Khanna Police on November 11 busted an inter-state arms supply gang with the arrest of three of its members—Palwinder Singh, Ramandeep Singh, and Ravi—and seized nine .32 bore pistols and seven magazines from their possession in Ludhiana, Punjab. Yadav also discussed the challenges in combating transnational terror activities, including the use of technology for covert communication and the recruitment of radicalised youth.

According to Border Security Force (BSF) sources, the number of rogue drones intercepted along the International Border in Punjab has surged to 200 in 2024, compared to 107 in 2023. Since November 1, 2024, the BSF has shot down or recovered 11 drones, seizing approximately 3 kg of narcotics. These drones, which primarily originate from Pakistan, are used to smuggle weapons, drugs, and other contraband. Traffickers prefer drones due to the challenges in detecting them, particularly at night. Despite the fencing along most of the border, some stretches remain difficult to patrol, complicating efforts to curb smuggling activities.

Punjab Police on November 9 arrested two key shooters and members of the Arshdeep Singh alias Arsh Dalla’s gang, identified as Navjot Singh, and Anmolpreet Singh, from Kharar in Sahibzada Ajit Singh (SAS) Nagar district. This arrest follows the murder of Kotkapura-based Sikh activist Gurpreet Singh alias Bhodi, who was shot dead last month in Faridkot in Punjab. According to police, the murder was allegedly orchestrated from abroad by Arsh Dalla with assistance from Canada-based associates.

Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) President Harjinder Singh Dhami on November 9 expressed dismay over the alleged denial of visas to 1,481 Sikh devotees intending to travel to Pakistan for Guru Nanak Dev's birth anniversary on November 15. Out of 2,244 applications, the Pakistan embassy approved visas for only 763 devotees, which Dhami termed as unfortunate, urging both governments to address this recurring issue.
